Refurbished IT equipment proves the perfect solution for On Call Africa - IT Resale

On Call Africa is a charity which aims to improve access to healthcare in rural Zambia. Last year nearly 8,000 people benefitted from treatment, training and teaching.

Quality equipment on a budget

Like many charities, budgets are extremely tight to ensure that efforts are concentrated on education, health promotion and delivering treatments. Using IT Resale has enabled them to purchase quality IT equipment at a fraction of the cost of new, whilst also supporting their values of sustainability.

Tour of facility

On Call Africa approached IT Resale to see if they could help with providing equipment. At first they were a little unsure about the condition and quality of the equipment we would provide. They have never purchased ‘used’ equipment before.

To settle any concerns we invited their CEO to visit our Facility in North London. It enabled him to meet our expert team and answer any questions but also to see the process of how we refurbish IT equipment first hand.

Fully compliant equipment

We put his mind at ease around compliance, showing how all data bearing devices are securely data wiped by our security-cleared staff using specialist software

certified by National Cyber Security and approved by Defence INFOSEC Security Centre. As well as how we reconfigure, repair and comprehensively test redundant equipment to prepare them for reuse.

The Director was also interested to hear about the environmental impact it would make by reducing items going to landfill. He was impressed to hear that in the 18 months, we’ve refurbished over 4,000 pieces of IT equipment, saving has saved over 9 tonnes of Co2.

Refurbished equipment when brought through the right partner can be as good as new as well as making substantial cost savings.

“IT Resale provides high quality equipment, on a budget. Helping to save money and reduce our impact on the environment.”
